St Agnes Surgery advises that we are now only dispensing Pfizer Bivalent Comirnaty Vaccination as the booster Vaccination for eligible patients
*COVID-19 vaccine booster doses are now recommended to maintain immunity against the virus. All people aged 16+ years who have had their second dose of a COVID-19 vaccine at least three months ago are eligible for a booster dose.*
*All people aged 16-64 and with a medical condition that increases the risk of severe COVID-19 illness in addition to all people over aged 65yrs are entitled to a winter booster (2nd booster dose)
Other adults aged 18 to 64 may consider a booster dose in 2023, based on an individual risk–benefit assessment.
A booster dose may be considered for children and adolescents aged 5 to 17 years who have medical comorbidities.
The Bivalent Corminaty (Pfizer) vaccine is approved by the Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) and recommended by ATAGI as a COVID-19 booster dose.

Side Effects
1) Pfizer/BioNTech Vaccine: In trials this vaccination has been well tolerated. The worst side effects were fatigue and headaches after the second dose. (4%). People with severe allergies may have a more serious adverse reaction.
