FEES from 1st November 2018

Picture
On the 1st of July 2018 the Government finally lifted the 5 year freeze on the Medicare rebate. This has resulted in our Practice instituting a small increase in the fee for common consultation Item Numbers.  The good news, for patients, is that there will be no increase in the gap payment that is charged.  There will also be no additional charges for Card Holders who will continue to be bulked billed, as detailed below..
It is Practice policy that all patients pay for consultations on the day.
If the account
is not paid on the day a $5 surcharge will apply.
Most consultations are charged according to complexity and time, and fall into the "B" or "C" category. The patient contribution is the difference between our fee and the Medicare rebate. Please note that:
  • Our fees are higher than the government determined "schedule fee"
  • Out of Hours fees apply after 1pm on Saturday, all day Sundays and Public Holidays
  • Fees charged for professional services are available on request
  • At times, patients will incur out of pocket expenses during the course of their care e.g. specialist gaps, medication & other treatment costs.
Please ask your doctor if you have any concerns about additional costs which may be associated with your care.

PRIVATE  PATIENTS:
From 1//7/20

LEVEL B    STANDARD CONSULTATION
IN HOURS  $67.50  (Medicare rebate $38.75)
OUT OF HOURS $80.50  (Medicare rebate $50.55)
LEVEL C   LONG CONSULTATION

OUT OF HOURS $116.55 (Medicare rebate $86.60)

  • $45.00 Gap payment for all private patients
