Dr De Fonseka is originally from Sydney, NSW and moved to Adelaide to complete her medical degree at University of Adelaide in 2022.

Since graduation she has remained in South Australia working in a mix of metropolitan and rural areas including the Eyre Peninsula and the Riverland.

She has a diverse range of interests including chronic disease management, preventative care and family medicine. 

Dr De Fonseka is also interested in academic medicine and medical education.

Outside of work she enjoys going to the beach, camping and hiking.
