Dr Karen Hand graduated from Adelaide University in 1989.  She commenced working at St Agnes Surgery whilst completing her Post Graduate General Practice training in 1992.  Karen has a keen interest in Medical Education and has worked as a Medical Educator helping train the next generation of GPs.  She also enjoys working with and supervising the GP Registrars who come through St Agnes Surgery.  Karen has a keen interest in Women's health and is involved in the Antenatal Shared Care Program.

Karen grew up in the local area and is proud to be an ongoing part of the North Eastern suburbs community.  She has four adult children and has enjoyed the flexibility of working in the local area whilst raising a family.  Karen enjoys playing netball, reading and attending musical theatre.
